TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 2789 Pte J.O.Tynan. 19/Bn. A.I.F. on first medal, 2789 A/Sgt J C.Tynan. 19 Bn A.I.F. on second medal and 2789 A-Sgt. J.C.Tynan. 19 Bn. A.I.F. on last medal. All medals impressed. First ribbon damaged, contact marks on second medal, otherwise very fine.

Together with Rising Sun hat badge (missing lugs and with oxidation); Rising Sun collar badges (2); Australia metal shoulder title; small Rising Sun sweetheart badge in gilt (pin-back); RSS&AILA lapel badge (KC); Battalion & Regimental Bomber's embroidered badge (blue on khaki); Wireless Operator's embroidered badge (white on khaki); Royal Navy Petty Officer's embroidered cap badge (red on black for 'duty' wear); Army Service Corps badge (KC) (missing lugs); 1st Battn Auckland Infantry collar badge (WWI); Italy Fascist Navy League 'Mare Nostrum' (Our sea) lapel badge (missing pin and some enamel); Italy Fascist axe symbol with hole for sewing attachment; small red silk cloth with scalloped edges and in one corner, 'With The Best Wishes/For Christmas', and in the opposite corner is a heart above crossed British and Australian flags over a Rising Sun and below 'Palestine/1940'; white silk cloth and in one corner is printed with a design of crossed Free French flag and British flag on a cedar of Lebanon tree with flowers below and above two birds holding a ribbon scroll between them which reads, 'Merry Christmas' and below, 'Beirut'; a French forces riband of six different ribbons in two rows, with metal mount on reverse for wear; a pen-knife with black bone handle with small shield on one side, at one end a long single blade marked for IXL George Westenholm, Sheffield, and at the other end is a similarly marked very short blade (either broken off or maybe meant to be a screw driver; James Cook Bi-Centenary medal by Hawke's Bay & Gisborne Savings Bank, 1969, in copper (33mm) (M&P.1969/4); all of the above housed in a small flip-top leather case (13.3x7.5x8cm).
