49th Bn was in 13th Brigade, 3rd (Vic) Military District.

Colin George Burrowes Colquhoun, student at Melbourne University, age 21, born at Surrey Hills, Vic; Enl.28May1918 at Melbourne, Vic, in AMC Sea Transport Section, with 3 years in Senior Cadets and 3 years in Citizen Forces; Emb.28May1918 and TOS No.2 AHS Kanowna; Arrived Suez 17Jul1918; RTA 14Mar1919; Disch.01Apr1919.

Colin Colquhoun passed the final exam for MB, BS in March 1923 and opened a medical practice at Avoca, Victoria. He married Miss Phyllis N.Johnson and celebrated the occasion on 12Nov1930 at the chapel of Church of England Grammar School. In 1933 he sold his medical practice at Avoca and was given a public farewell reception. He then commenced a new medical practice at Minto Lodge, Mornington, Victoria in December 1933. Colin Colquhoun died on 7 June1982.
