KINGS of PERSIS. Vadfradad (Autophradates) II. Early-mid 2nd century BC. Silver Drachm (4.10 gm; 16 mm). Head right, with short beard, wearing diadem and kyrbasia surmounted by eagle / Fire temple, Ahura-Mazda above; to left, Vadfradad standing right; standard to right, standard surmounted by eagle; traces of legend to inner right and outer left. K&M 3/2; Alram 547; Sunrise 576. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Excellent metal. Fine style. Sharply struck from high relief dies. Choice Superb EF. Lightly toned.
