ROMAN EMPIRE. Gordian III. 238-244 AD. AR Denarius (3.34 gm; 22 mm). Struck in Rome, 241-243 AD. RIC IV 97. Radiate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Sol standing facing, head left, raising hand and holding globe. Well struck on a nice broad medallic flan. Choice Superb EF. Lightly toned.
