George I (1714-27), Guinea, 1714, "Prince Elector" type, first laureate head right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, ornamented sceptres in angles (MCE 245; S.3628), usual die flaw across face, otherwise a most handsome example of the first Hanoverian Guinea, the fields pleasingly lustrous, near extremely fine, the reverse much as struck, rare.
