L. Hostilius Saserna, 48 BC, AR Denarius, 3.76g, head of Gallia with long hair right, Gallic trumpet behind, rev. Diana of Ephesus standing facing with spear and stag, l. hostilivs saserna around (Craw 448/3; RSC Hostilia 4; Syd 953), some weakness to the far right of reverse, nonetheless lightly toned with an excellent portrait, good very fine.
