Edward VI (1547-53), Crown, 1553 over 2, third period, fine silver issue, Tower, 30.57g, m.m. tun, King on horseback galloping right, rev. square-topped shield over cross fourchée (Lingford, dies A-18; N.1933; N.1933; S.2478), minor incision marks above shield on reverse, and other light metal stressing in obverse field, otherwise attractively toned, well struck for type, a pleasingly bold very fine.
