His laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG / Sol standing left, raising hand and holding globe; AETERNITATI AVG S C. RIC IV.3 297a. Good Very Fine; well centered on a broad flan; glossy rich brown patina; minor stable spots of green patina; small shallow pit on cheek; striking crack at 4' that someone apparently filled (very unusual); a few old scratches beneath patina on reverse. All-in-all, well centered, attractive and a bit fascinating.
