CILICIA, Aegeae. Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Tridrachm (26.5mm, 8.91 g, 6h). Dated CY 177 (AD 130/1). Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Draped bust of Asclepius right, wearing taenia; serpent-entwined staff to right; in exergue, goat reclining left, head right; ETOYΣ ZOP (date) in legend. Prieur –; SNG Levante –; SNG BN –; RPC III 3346/3 (this coin cited). Near EF, toned, touch of porosity. Well struck reverse. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, two on CoinArchives, and three, including this coin, cited by the authors of RPC.
