Greek Asia. Kings of Elymais. Kamnaskires V (54-32 BC). AR Tetradrachm, Seleukeia on the Hedyphon mint. D/ Diademed and draped bust left, wearing long beard and torque; to right, star above anchor. R/ Inscription on four sides, which forms a square around the type. Male bust left (of Kamnaskires III?) diademed, with short beard. Cf. van't Haaff Type 9.1.1-4 (for type). Cf. Alram 463 (for type, but without date). Cf. BMC 28.248, 3-4 and pl. XXXVIII, 7-8. Cf. Sunrise 481. AR. g. 14.40 mm. 26.00 RR. Very rare and attractive. Unusual good metal and pleasant light grey toning. Minor double strike on reverse. Good VF.
