(crown, broken annulet below) hЄRICVS: DЄI: GRA'. FRACORV: Z: AGLЄ: RЄX, Virgin Mary (on left) and Archangel Gabriel (on right) standing behind shields of France and England, respectively, scroll with AVЄ (written upwards) in between, rays above / (crown, broken annulet below) XPC: VIHCIT ★ XPC ★ RЄGHAT ★ XPC ★ IHPЄRAT, Latin cross within tressure, lis to left, lion to right, h below. Well detailed with exceptionally clear lettering, legibility aided by some darkened patina, which shows hardly any evidence of doubling or die shifts. Clearly struck on a full flan of very good metal with not a hint of wrinkling, waviness, or ghosting from the opposite side.
