Louis XV gold Louis d'Or 1722-L MS64 NGC, Bayonne mint, KM461.11, Fr-456. A luminous and admirably preserved offering showing moderate adjustment marks to one side of the planchet. A very scarce type in comparison to the somewhat later Louis d'Or issues. This remains the finest example of this mint-date combination seen by either NGC or PCGS.
