Saxony. Albert 5 Mark 1876-E MS63 NGC, Muldenhutten mint, KM1237. A conditional rarity in Mint State grades, with the current representative standing unchallenged at the peak of the NGC census. The fields appear to beam with soft whirls of cartwheel luster, rolling over near tone-free satin surfaces containing only the most minor of marks. For reference, we sold an MS62 for $1175 in our April 2015 Chicago sale #3040 (lot 32281).
