Trajan. A.D. 98-117. AE sestertius (32.2 mm, 24.27 g, 6 h). Rome mint, Struck A.D. 113. IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, laureate bust of Trajan right, drapery on left shoulder / S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI // VIA TRAIANA / S C, reclining left, head right, holding wheel and resting elbow on rock. RIC II 636. Good Fine / Near VF, pleasingly toned "old brass" patina with dark green deposits in recesses - very harshly cleaned in the past (bench grinder?) but re-toning quite gracefully.
