A pair of huge Byzantine bronze coins. The two coins were struck during the reign of emperor Justinian I, A.D. 527 - 565. each featuring his helmeted bust facing holding a shield and globus cruciger, the reverse with large M (40 nummia) and struck at Constantinople. 37mm, 20.03g & 36mm, 18.83g.
