Almohads, Anonymous in the name of al-Mahdì AR Square Dirham. Unknown mint, (Asilah or Amilah ?) circa 11th century AD. "Allah is our Lord, Muhammad is our messenger, al-Mahdì is our Imam", in three lines across field / Almohad's motto in three lines across field, mint name below. Unpublished mint name; cf. Album 497 for the type with regular mint name; Hohertz - . 1.38g, 22mm, 12h.

Very Fine. Hohertz lists 39 secure mints and 14 additional possibilities, however some readings are at best tentative like this example.
