Sasanian, Shapur III (383-388), gold dinar, bust right wearing close-fitted crown, rev., bust of Ahuramazda in flames on altar flanked by attendants; inscription on shaft, 4.34g, die axis 3.00 (cf. Saeedi AV56 – as Shapur II or III; Sunrise 874), some marks, about extremely fine and rare. Gold and Silver Coins from Ptolemaic Egypt are catalogued in accordance with Catharine C. Lorber's recently published Coins of the Ptolemaic Empire, ANS, New York, 2018 (CPE); references are also given to Svoronos's corpus of 1904.
