SOUTHWEST ARABIA, Kingdom of Saba. Ma'rib. Late 4th–mid 2nd centuries BC. "tmrt" or Quarter Unit (Silver, 10.5 mm, 1.12 g, 6 h). Helmeted head of Athena right, with mark of value X (= t = tmrt) on her cheek. Rev. Owl standing right, head facing; below right, royal emblem of Saba = monogram of Mukarrib; above to left, monogram. Huth 258. Extremely rare, very likely the best example known. Nearly extremely fine.
