Hadrian, 117-138. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 27 mm, 14.84 g, 6 h), Rome, 118. IMP CAESAR TRAIANVS HADRIANVS AVG Radiate bust of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery over far shoulder. Rev. PONT MAX TR POT COS II/ ADVENTVS AVG SC Roma seated right on cuirass, holding spear, clasping right hands with Hadrian, laureate and togate, standing left and holding volumen in his left hand. BMC 1138. Cohen 92. RIC 554. With a fine early portrait and a very attractive deep green patina with earthen highlights. Good very fine.
