Ionia, Ephesus. Cistophoric tetradrachm circa 139-138, AR 12.70 g. Serpents emerging from cista mistica; all within wreath. Rev. Two serpents standing by bow case; above, bee and in r. field, double cornucopiae. Kleiner-Noe serie 35 var. (with A on reverse).
Unlisted variety. Light iridescent tone, an almost invisible mark
on obverse field, otherwise about extremely fine
