The Roman Empire

Vespasian, 69 – 79. Sestertius 76, Æ 27.68 g. Laureate head r. Rev. The temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus: Hexastyle temple within which, statue of Jupiter seated facing flanked by statues of Juno and Minerva standing facing; on either side of the temple, a statue. The pediment is decorated with statues of the Capitoline Triad and other figures; roof surmounted by quadriga on top, and eagles on either side. In exergue, S C. C 492. RIC 886E.
Very rare. Brown tone and good very fine
