Southwest Africa Barclays Bank D.C.O. 10 Shillings 29.11.1958 Pick 4b PCGS Gem New 65PPQ. Southwest Africa was a League of Nations Class C mandate that was administered directly by the government of South Africa from 1915 to 1978. Three banks issued notes for Southwest Africa from 1931 through 1959. These notes circulated until 1963 and then were replaced by notes of the Republic of South Africa.
