This date was short-lived and replaced two years later as the note's central vignette displayed the American side rather than the Canadian side of the Sault Ste. Marie locks. The dual portraits of Lady and Lord Minto along with the back vignette of the Parliament buildings and library viewed from Nepean Point remained unchanged. With only two examples graded higher in the PMG Census, this signature issue with deep inks, repeating borders, and beautiful intricate guilloche designs would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
