China Russo-Asiatic Bank Harbin 100 Dollars ND (1910) Pick S466 PMG Choice About Unc 58. A Pick S553 Russo-Chinese Bank 100 Taels is the host note for Pick S466. The elusive Pick S466 number has a black overprint that updates it to a Russo-Asiatic Bank One Hundred Dollars and that includes replacing Tientsin with the new location of Harbin. The Russo-Chinese Bank was reorganized in 1910 as the Russo-Asiatic Bank. After the Russian October Revolution of 1917, over 100,000 defeated Russian White Guards and refugees descended upon Harbin. The city became a center for White Russian emigres and the largest Russian enclave outside of the Soviet Union. The Russo-Asiatic head office moved from St. Petersburg to Paris when the Bolsheviks firmly seized power and all assets of the bank within the Soviet Union were nationalized.
