Cuba Banco Nacional de Cuba 5 Pesos ND (1905) Pick 67 "Unissued" PMG Very Fine 30. Interestingly, this 1905 release, the first under the newly formed Republic of Cuba, was sent to various banks across the island, and almost immediately withdrawn. However, it appears that some examples were in fact released, and that some even circulated under the radar. This example, with a fun radar serial number 00100, certainly shows signs of honest circulation. Most often seen as a Specimen or Proof, this fully issued example flies in the face of term "Unissued", which is how this type is usually described. At the time of cataloging, there are only six "issued" examples in the PMG Population Report. Rare and interesting. Our estimates could prove conservative on this lot. HID08701242017
