Luxembourg Grand-Duche de Luxembourg 1000 Francs ND (1982) Pick 52Bcts Color Trial Specimen PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ. A beautifully inked Color Trial Specimen of an interesting type. Luxembourg and Belgium paired their currencies together for ease of commerce. Without warning, Belgium devalued the franc in 1982, leaving Luxembourg to scramble to create new denominations for notes. Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. repurposed older denominations to meet currency needs, but it appears that very few, if any, of these new types were actually released. This color trial Specimen of a proposed 1000 Francs is stunningly inked with hues of blues, yellows, greens, and red. Pinpoint centering and clean paper add to the desirability of this rare type. One POC is present. HID08701242017
