The bank opened in 1902 and remained in business until its charter was revoked by the government in 1915 due to insufficient security for its circulation and thereafter converted to a Development Bank. The very attractive black, red, and yellow ABNCo design features a large portrait of General Juan Jose de la Garza flanked by wharf scenes. The intricate red back depicts two dogs on the shore. The note is stamped SPECIMEN in red with solid zero serial numbers and two POCs in the signature spaces. A pretty note with great colors on bright paper that will be an excellent addition to any Mexican or ABNCo. collection. HID08701242017
