Mexico Banco Mercantil De Veracruz 50 Pesos 15.3.1898 Pick S441a PMG Choice Very Fine 35. The bank opened in 1898. Although the bank's charter was later cancelled by President Carranza, the bank continued on into the late 1920s. ABNCo printed this attractive red and black note that features a head on view of a sailing vessel on the face and a view of Veracruz harbor on the back.
