A very rare and beautiful large jade disc "Bi"
Of dark grey, white nephrite jade, flat with some irregularities, circular form. Decorated on one side with a delicately incised figure of a Sharman, with feathered head piece, angular face, with round eyes and oval mouth, arms to the side and bent, sitting seemly cross-legged. Two circular discs to his sides. Disc with a small central circular opening, carving rings visible on the inside characteristic of ancient technics.
Style of: Liangzhu (Neolithic +/- 3600 BC –1850 BC), age determination uncertain
