Magnificent light green-grey jade carving of a horse
Recumbent, with its hooved legs tucked neatly beneath its powerful body. Its head forward with bold eyes and flared nostrils and its mane reaching over its neck to its back in a smooth arc. Its hips and shoulders emphasised with incised archaic curling motifs. Green jade mottled with brown in places.
Style of: Apparently Han (206 BC – AD 220), age determination uncertain
