An extremely fine and decorative pale green jade carved mythical beast shaped jar
Resembling a ram facing forward, recumbent with two curved horns and wrinkled snout, baring its teeth. With two wings and a twisting tail sweeping over its hind legs. Decorated with incised archaic scrolls. The stone of the pale tone with strands of darker marbling. Further hollowed and pierced with and aperture on its back. Used to hold water for cleaning of paintbrushes during writing.
