BANKNOTES. CHINA - PROVINCIAL BANKS Chekiang Bank Ltd: Uniface Reverse Proof $1, 1 June 1913, purple, building on shore at left, gazebo at right, perforated “SPECIMEN” and mounted on card stock, printer: Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co Ltd (S/M -). Uncirculated, unrecorded and very rare.
The only mention of this bank is found in S/M who states: “Chekiang Bank, established in 1907-08…reported to have issued notes in 1909” (no illustration).
