Lahore, India (British), original proof 1/2 rupee, 1945-L, George VI, large 5, PCGS PR65. KM-552; S&W-9.69. Choice satin fields with light rainbow toning, no marks or wear at all, rare as an original proof (not a restrike) with original mint envelope, visibly superior to the Pittman specimen sold by Baldwin's in 2013. The current lot is the only example currently in the PCGS census; the NGC census shows two: one each in PF 62 and PF 66. (See note in lot 1132.) PCGS #36334454.
