Lima, Peru, pillar 8 reales, Charles III, 1770JM, dot over left mintmark only, engraved with script-MP monogram at top (love-token style) and date 17-89 flanking pillars. KM-64.2; CT-847. 26.95 grams. AU- with beautiful rainbow toning, elegantly engraved with initials and date (the former with ornamental teardrops and the latter with eight-point stars above and below each half), no doubt commemorating some personal event in Lima on that date, very attractive and interesting.
