Lot of fifteen Peru, copper-nickel 5 soles, 1969, strike-pressure progression set, unique. KM-252. Interesting collection of numbered progression strikes showing the effects of different striking pressures. The coin labelled "1" exhibits very weak design elements, while subsequent strikes show more detail and fewer weak areas until fully struck up by coin "15." All coins UNC, with luster and very light toning. Possibly unique, the only strike-progression sets of any country we have seen on the market except for a companion set of Peru 10 soles 1969 sold in our Auction #24. Worthy of study and possible encapsulation together with the different striking numbers.
