USA (Philadelphia Mint), half dollar, 1934, Texas, NGC MS 65. First issued in 1934, the Texas Centennial commemorative half dollar had a total mintage of around 304,000 coins. Of the 1934 mintage, 205,113 halves were struck with 61,463 eventually melted down by the Treasury Department. Brilliant classic commemorative with sharp details, rainbow toned obverse consisting of darker hues like purple and blue, relatively non-toned reverse with hint of color around rims.
