Cartagena, Colombia, Banco Union, 1 peso, 9-1-1888, serial 68264, PMG AU 50, finest known in PMG census. SCWPM-S866a; CHPM-9315.1. By far the finest known in the PMG census with just two others in Fine 10 and Fine 15. The serial number on this note is three digits higher than the CHPM plate note. PMG notes "stain lightened" on the label; we note paper toning and a pinhole in the upper left corner. The CHPM plate note also has a pinhole in the same location, possibly from storage at the bank. A beautifully designed, ABNCo crafted note from an exceedingly rare Colombian Banco. PMG #8059457-001.
