Lot of three Lima, Peru, Compania de Obras Publicas y Formento del Peru, 4-7-1876, series A notes: 20 soles, serial 107067; 10 soles, serial 107067; 1 soles, serial 150718. SCWPM-S447a, S446a, S444a. Issued by the American-born Henry Meiggs (1811-1877) to finance the construction of a railway line from La Oroya to Cerro de Pasco, Peru. His printed signature, as Enrique Meiggs, is found in the lower right. The 20 and 10 soles grade VG with edge splits while the 1 sol is closer to VG/Fine, all with pinholes, rather bold inking kept the obverses from fading during heavy circulation.
