Watch List notes:

Lot of seven issues of The London Gazette (various dates from 1667 to 1698). 11-1/8" x 6-7/8" each page. Each copy of the Gazette is one sheet printed on front and back and dated February 24-27, 1667; November 26-29, 1688; August 29-September 1, 1698; April 1-4, 1672; November 29-December 2, 1675; December 30-January 3, 1675; and December 7-10, 1685. Each issue contains current news from around the world (mostly Europe). Take note of the 1698 issue in which the news from Madrid reported that the king of Spain (Charles II) "is much better, having within this fortnight recovered his strength very considerably." Charles was known for his physical disabilities and died two years later.
