Large lead cloth-bale seal with London arms and DE..LONDI..NO. above, from the "Bramble wreck" (mid-1600s). 18 grams, 1-1/4" diameter. Two-part lead seals with a ribbon between were attached to textiles as part of a system of industrial regulation and taxation. This uniface dull-gray seal (other half missing) with shield containing pike in upper left quadrant identifies the origin as London with DE LONDI NO at top and (missing) wreath at bottom, very good condition, unique provenance.
