Spanish colonial folding sailor's jackknife, 1700s. 107 grams, 13-1/4" overall length, 6-1/4" blade length. Folding knives like this were very popular among Spanish sailors, who sometimes called them "Bilbao knives" for the Portuguese port. This single-edged specimen is of colonial manufacture, a horn handle with simple file-cut decorations, three small gouges to handle. With photo-certificate.
