Eastern European large flintlock blunderbuss barrel pistol, late 1700s-early 1800s. 1129 grams, 16" long, 10" barrel, 1" muzzle. Impressive early pistol extensively decorated with tapered bell-mouthed silver-inlaid octagonal barrel, engraved lock with "S" form hammer, roller spring frizzen, walnut stock with French-style butt cap, carved decorations, checkered silver and mother-of-pearl inlaid grip, and silvered buttplate and trigger guard. Good original condition with silver inlays mostly intact and apparent complete lock needing adjustment to hold in cocked position. With photo-certificate.
