Amber glass bitters bottle, Hostetter's, 1800s. 535 grams, 9" tall, 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" diameter. S. McKee & Co. (1834-1908) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, bottle produced for Dr. J. Hostetter's and labeled as "stomach bitters." Dr. Jacob Hostetter was a prominent Pennsylvania physician who prescribed to his patients his home-brewed tonic for various stomach and digestive ailments. This bottle intact with areas of light white patina inside and out.
