Large, coiled, bronze, African "Igbo Ibo" manilla (bracelet currency) from Nigeria, 1600s or 1700s, rare. 3454 grams, 11" long and 4" diameter. A coil of nineteen loops with squared ends, crusty green patination all over, very solid and heavy but also important as form of high-value currency within the African tribal communities.
