Curiously shaped gold nugget, 5.9 grams, ex-SS Central America (1857), in Collectors Universe promotional capsule. 1-1/8" x 1/2" x 1/8". A whimsical natural creation, no doubt saved from the melting pot by a prospector who was intrigued by its fingerlike (some would say phallic) shape consisting of a flat, rounded end connected to a long, straight projection, now appropriately (and erectly) ensconced in a plastic holder for the rest of eternity.
