Large gold-in-quartz specimen, 323.2 grams, from the Sixteen to One Mine in Alleghany, California. Approx. 3-1/4" x 2-1/4" x 2". A somewhat W-shaped section of coarse gold crystals impregnating a small cloud of matte-white quartz, the overall texture rather "crispy" and dense, with an approximate net weight of gold 8.18 oz troy, intrinsically valuable but also a showpiece of natural "art" at its finest!
