Very small silver "wedge" ingot (probably contraband), 259 grams, ex-1715 Fleet. 1-3/8" x 1-1/8" x 7/8". For whatever reason the 1715 Fleet is known for silver "wedges" (in fact one whole wrecksite is known as the "Wedge Wreck"), which are either contraband or amalgam, this dense little specimen almost certainly the former, with dark surfaces all over and just one spot of greenish encrustation, very neatly formed, marked in Sharpie with weight of "258.6 grms". From the 1715 Fleet, with photo-certificate, and pedigreed to our Auction #13, with original lot-tag #405.
