Potosi, Bolivia, cob 4 reales, 1739M, ex-Luz (1752), mounted cross-side out in twisted-wire silver bezel with 14K gold prongs and fixed bail with sapphire in front. 16.65 grams total. Good full cross, one full pillar, moderately surface-corroded and darkly toned, curious five-prong arrangement. With photo-certificate, the coin from the Luz (1752) and pedigreed to our Auction #20, lot #1834.
