Kings of Macedon, AR drachms, Alexander III ("the Great"), 336-323 BC, mounted in silver cufflinks with 14K gold prongs with Herakles side out on one and Zeus side out on other. 19.66 grams total. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / Zeus seated left, holding eagle in right hand; one with amphora before throne, ME monogram below throne; the other with monogram before throne. Both attractively toned VF, sturdy standard mounts.
