Lucania, Poseidonia, AR stater, 480-400 BC, Poseidon and bull. HN Italy 1116; SNG ANS 651. 7.85 grams. Poseidon, nude but for chlamys draped over both arms, holding trident aloft in right hand, advancing right; initials to right / Bull standing left; retrograde initials above; all within circular incuse. VF with some old scratch marks on obverse.
